This is Eli

A blog about Eli. A blog about survival – and by that, I mean life!

We had a big big scare last week that had nothing to do with cystic fibrosis.

My sitter rear-ended the car in front of her in a four or five-car accident. She called me crying and I rushed over from work. The airbag went off and knocked her in the face. Eli screamed bloody murder but was otherwise fine by the time I arrived, just sittin’ with nanny in a giant poo, naturally, and happy as a clam.

Afterwards he acted like nothing had happened, except for telling us about the “bump in the car” and being extra cuddly at bed time. Or was that just me hugging him so much tighter.

Things can change fast. I’m just glad everybody’s OK. He wasn’t dizzy and never threw up. He had no bruising from his straps and didn’t appear to be sore at all. His doctor gave him the all-clear.

Little buddy had got to stop giving moms such frights.

In other news, I got a new iPhone. My 5s had been freshly cracked…for the second time. Apps slowin’ down. No memory for upgrades or pics or vids. WordPress stopped working, and that’s how I’d gotten in a blog here or there. Time to move on. The 6 is great. The best feature, besides more memory, is a much sharper camera. Other than that we’re just getting to know each other, me n the phone. Of course a tech upgrade means more photo sessions with the buddies.

Here are some photos of ’em:
