It’s #NationalCoffeeDay

Good Tuesday!

It’s National Coffee Day.

That means it’s not too late to get a free cup o joe from a participating Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Creme, etc! You know I swung by for my free medium this morn. (Iced, cuz it’s still hot down here on the Southern plains).

Here is a full round-up of all the freebie coffees from USA Today.

For better or worse, I’m a coffee fanatic.

My love of a good brew is stronger than ever as I’m working an earlier schedule at my day job. I set an alarm (Make that three alarms, sometimes four) for 4:30 / 4:35 a.m./ 4:45 / 4:55 a.m. a.m. to get started by 5 a.m.

In semi-related news, I love vintage everything and have followed a few new history accounts on Twitter these days. For National Coffee Day and to mark the beginning of fall, here are a few of my favorite history-oriented Twitter accounts that have sent over great vintage images.

Edward Snowden stepped out of the Russian cold to warm his hands over the Twitter server just today. Maybe he’s also warming his hands with a some java.

Here are some of the vintage coffee and vintage fall images gleaned from those feeds in recent weeks.

In other news…

Eli had his quarterly clinic visit. He was a very good boy at clinic. It was exciting not to have to use a nurse swat team to restrain him during his throat swab.

Here’s to the little victories. I’ll write more about his visit in a bit. xo
