The strangest thing happened today. Eli’s just 8 months old, yet he’s started to meme. Does your baby meme? Oh. Uh, well, every child develops differently, so don’t feel bad or anything.
Here are 3 things Eli relayed:
Hello! This dark, strange trip into the hard-boiled world of Mary Kay makeovers doubles as a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Hey, I never said I was normal. This is the first in a three-part series.
Please vote for my makeover in the Mary Kay One Woman makeover contest. You can vote up to five times a day through May 28. If I get the vote, Mary Kay will donate $5,000 to the CF Foundation for cystic fibrosis research that will help save my son Eli’s life.
Here’s the link. Start voting, start sharing, and enjoy my strange detour to a new genre: Mary Kay noir.
(UPDATE: CONTEST CLOSED 5/28)
In addition, I’ve tied my vote campaign to a fun giveaway – a free Moby wrap thanks to Moby Wrap, a company run by some together California hippies. The free wrap is moss green. It’s a cozy, comfy baby carrier that retails for about $50. Wee bbs love it and parents get their hands back! The contest is limited to US residents only.

This is a week of good news.
Moby wrap – maker of a very cozy and lovely baby carrier I used with Laila and now with Eli – has agreed to do a giveaway with This is Eli in honor of CF awareness. And also, in honor of giving moms and dads something nice that makes life a little easier – and better!
One lucky reader will get a free Moby wrap! I’ll work out the details of the contest quite soon, but first, I need to tell the company if the winner should get a moss or a neutral -colored wrap.
I can’t decide.
Will you help?
